This quarter, we’re talking to Mr. Steve Peacock from Stephenville, Texas. Mr. Peacock has been a member for just 2 years, but has a lot of good things to say about Members Trust!

Tell me a little about yourself and how you came to join MTFCU.

I’ve been married for 50 years to my wife Linda, and we have two grown children – Stephanie, who is married to Michael Beach, and son Bryan. We also have two beautiful grandchildren – we have a good life!

I’ve been a resident of Stephenville all my life, and I’ve heard about Members Trust many times over the years. I’ve known Lance for a long time, as he always visited my restaurants.

Although I’ve taken a step back and my family now owns and manages the restaurants, I’m still involved in several special projects.

I’ve built houses and worked with a lot of banks over the years. My most recent venture is duplexes that we rent to 55+ adults. Recently, I was referred to Members Trust and Lance. Although I knew about the good reputation of Members Trust, I never thought about working with them until recently – and I’m glad I did!

What was your banking experience like before you joined Members Trust?

Some of our previous banking experiences were a bit tedious. On the other hand, working with Members Trust was VERY easy. It was smooth, simple, and we never felt stressed out like in previous banking transactions.

Why did you choose Members Trust over a big chain bank?

I knew that Members Trust had a solid reputation in our area, so I decided to reach out. I liked the sound of the terms and conditions that Lance could provide for this business venture.

How has Members Trust changed your banking experience?

I still use a local bank for personal business because it’s not easy to change after all these years; however, I’m very encouraged by what I’ve seen from Members Trust. I will definitely consider them for my future banking needs.

What’s your favorite thing about using MTFCU for your financial services?

I really think it’s easy to do business with Members Trust. I told Lance what I needed and never had any issues. He was responsive and communicative. Their rates were excellent – no other bank could match them!

If you had to explain to someone why they should join MTFCU, what would you say?

I’ve already mentioned Members Trust to several other people. They are high on my list of recommendations for anyone who needs financial services, but especially for commercial projects, because the terms were ideal.
