At Members Trust, we believe a credit union is more than a place to bank—it’s a partner in building stronger communities. Thanks to the support of our dedicated employees and loyal members, we’ve been able to make a real difference both inside and outside our branches. From volunteering at local events to supporting schools and community initiatives, the past quarter has been filled with moments that highlight the heart of who we are.
Here are just a few of the ways Members Trust has been showing up for the communities we proudly serve.
Academic Calendar Deliveries
In late July, we proudly delivered nearly 2,000 academic calendars to Wainwright Elementary in Houston ISD and to Stephenville ISD. These calendars provide both students and teachers with an essential tool for planning, organizing, and keeping track of assignments throughout the school year.
Tarleton Student Orientation
On Saturday, August 23rd, our Stephenville team participated in Tarleton State University’s New Student Orientation, welcoming more than 40 incoming students. This event provided a great opportunity to introduce Members Trust, share helpful resources, and let students know we’re here to support their financial goals during college and beyond.
Greater Heights Area Chamber Soiree
As a proud Platinum Chamber Sponsor, Members Trust attended the Chairman’s Soiree on Friday, September 26. The evening brought together Chamber members and community leaders to celebrate, connect, and support the Chamber’s community scholarship fund. Guests enjoyed a delicious dinner, lively casino-style games, and exciting auctions.
It was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on shared successes while looking forward to the future together.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erath County: Dancing for the Stars
Members Trust is also proud to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erath County, a nonprofi
t that empowers youth through mentorship and meaningful, lasting relationships. Their signature event, Dancing for the Stars, will return for its 13th year on October 30th at the Tarleton State University Ballrooms.
This black-tie fundraiser will feature couples who previously performed, including our very own Lance Gilliland and his wife, Shelley, who first danced in 2016. They are excited to return to the stage alongside instructor Sherrie Evans to raise funds for one-to-one mentorship programs, safe and fun match activities, and valuable community resources.
Celebrating International Credit Union Day – October 16th
These recent events remind us that credit unions are more than financial institutions—we are communities united by people helping people. On October 16th, we will join credit unions around the world celebrating International Credit Union (ICU) Day.
This year’s theme, “Cooperation for a Prosperous World”, reflects our mission at Members Trust: to empower our members, strengthen our communities, and invest in a brighter future together.
We are proud of the role we play in supporting education, creating opportunities, and giving back through service. Thank you to our members, employees, and community partners for making all of this possible. Together, we’re not just banking, we’re building something that lasts.
Stop by a branch on Thursday, October 16th, to join the celebration!
